ARE YOU WEARING YOUR PEDOMETER
AND COUNTING YOUR STEPS?
A Pedometer counts the number of times your feet impact the ground.
It's best worn upright on your waistband or belt and should fit close to you.
A reliable pedometer runs $25 to $35.
Calibrate your pedometer: Walk 30 steps; if the count is off by 5% to 10%, adjust the pedometer so it's completely vertical and stable (if it tilts, the count may be off). Get your health care provider's Ok before significantly raising your level of exercise.
